More Than I Can Handle

via RewardPort.com's Daily Musings

At times it makes the hills seem steeper,
If only I could dig just a little bit deeper.

I bit off more than I could chew with teeth;
An ancient tale an old lady did bequeath.

Reminding me of one thing, I am not alone;
Without a word my skin peeled to the bone.

'Twas more than I could handle, certain that
My only repercussion was to swing another bat.

I tempted fate with untold calendars of spite,
Left underneath a crow that sings into the night.

Another JJ Abrams' TV creation: REVOLUTION

I'm Not Missing You

A poem written by yours truly back in 2010

It's over now, the hell with it
That's the last time my heart'll skip a beat
To someone who think he's so perfect
Now I know how he's not worth it

He's such a fine distraction
To my every action
I loved him freely, I loved him purely
Now he's nothing but a memory

Lesson learned, I'm through with you
Won't even cry 'cause I'm so mad at you
You took me for a fool
Don't you think that's cruel

You broke my heart that was yours to keep
You left me rolling in the deep

Obviously, I'm over it, I'm over him, whoever the hell he is ha!
The smile PROVES it!

A Transient Nature

All at once it dawned on me, I am not alone;
The world of sequins shattered like a bone.

A nun in love with an old, forgotten past,
Her father stands with mouth wide open, aghast.

In shambles running through a copse of bramble;
A transient nature, she was left alone to ramble.

Wealth can carry for the fortunate less 'twixt,
Lest the temperance of character be fixed.

Without a word, the selfless gene returns,
Deep down within a horrid fire that burns.
